Our Stage Depot Double Podger is an essential for lighting, audio and rigging technicians. Featuring 17 & 19mm ratchers these podgers are perfect for tightening hex head nuts and bolts on the underside of stage decks, hook & quick trigger clamps or trussing.

Our Stage Depot two-way double ratchet podgers are a professional theatrical reversible spanners featuring a 17 & 19mm socket size ratchets perfect for use with M10 bolts most commonly found on hook clamps and half couplers while the 19mm side is most commonly used for M12 bolts which are often used with stage platforms and trussing sections. Manufactured from durable solid steel, this double podger ensures reliability during intense workloads. Fitted with an extra-wide lanyard slot, it allows for most direct-catch lanyards to connect to our podger without the need for safety chains and cables.

Perfect for Stage Decks & Trussing

The 17 & 19mm ratchets upon the top of our podger are an essential for any lighting, audio or rigging technician for attaching M10 or M12 hook clamps and quick trigger clamps to the top of lighting fixtures, for tightening M10 bolts on the underside of stage decks of Stage Depot, Global Truss and Prylite staging as well as used for tightening bolts on trussing.

Tapered End

The 4 mm diameter tapered end on the base of our Podger allows crews to easily align bolt holes on stage decks and trussing, speeding up assembly of festival and event hardware.

Can I use a Yellow Ring Podger on standard lighting hook & quick trigger clamps

Yes, our Stage Depot two-podger is perfect for this, the yellow ring version supports both an 17 & 19mm ratchet which is perfect for both M10 & M12 bolts used across a range of standard lighting hook clamps, quick trigger clamps and half couplers.

Why does the podger have a pointed end?

The tapered end on the base of the podger is perfect for this, it allows theatre crews to effortlessly align bolt holes on the underside of staging or for connecting points on truss structures. A demonstration of this can be found within our Stage Depot Podger demonstration video.

What is the difference between a Quad Podger and a Double Podger?

A double-podger features a singular ratchet head on either side of the top of the spanner, while the quad-podger features two on either side with one nested within another, allowing them to combine four of the most commonly used theatre sizes. Our Stage Depot Quad Podger is also available alongside our range of doubles.
