A lighting control console aka "lighting board or lighting desk" is a device commonly used in theatres, concert halls and other such venues for operating multiple stage and theatre lights from a single source. Nearly all stage lighting controllers will use DMX protocols and some will also support Art-Net.
All lighting consoles can operate Lighting Dimmers. A dimmer is a device that can reduce the brightness or output of a traditional incandescent theatre lamp by altering the voltage waveform.
