A condenser mic is a type of microphone that utilizes electronic components to capture sound. It works by converting sound into electrical current, which can be amplified and used to produce recordings or playback sound. Condenser mics are the most sensitive type of microphone and have a wide frequency range, making them ideal for detailed vocal and recording applications.

A Dynamic mic however, uses a thin metal diaphragm suspended in a wire coil that vibrates when sound waves hit it. Since the dynamic mic has greater mass, it’s more resilient and able to handle louder sounds than condenser mics while still providing good audio quality.
