Rosco Supersaturated Scenic Paints

Rosco Supersaturated is a highly pigmented acrylic paint, uniquely formulated to be diluted with water. Dilute minimally with water to achieve saturated, deep colours, or dilute heavily to achieve translucent colour effects and glazes. A versatile and economic paint for any artists kit and for all scenic painting techniques, for stage, studio, film and TV.

Supersat paints are produced using a flexible blinder, allowing this paint to be used on a range of primed surfaces. They can be painted onto hard surfaces such as wood, timber, textured plaster, metals and surfaces such as the Rosco Foamcoat when creating theming. Alongside these, they can also be painted onto flexible surfaces such as canvas, muslin, fabrics, our Stage Depot Projection Screen and Rosco Dance Floor.

Their intermixing and dilution properties also make these perfect for set design. They allow artists to water down paints as much as 15-parts water to 1-part paint, perfect for creating glaze effects or toning techniques for creating shades and shadows. While mixing paints up with 15 parts water can sometimes affect adhesion, adding Rosco Acrylic Glaze will keep the adherence and flexibility of the paints at their ideal levels.
